Useful Travel Information


Haugesund Airport has connections to/from Oslo ( and, Bergen and Copenhagen ( and London and Bremen ( . Haugesund Airport is 20 minutes by bus from center of Haugesund. 


Stavanger Airport Sola has very good connections to the major cities in Europe; Amsterdam (KLM), London (British Airways, SAS, Norwegian), Aberdeen (Wideroe), Frankfurt (Lufthansa), Copenhagen (SAS) etc.

From the airport a shuttle bus to Stavanger has departure every 15 minutes. The bus stops at both at the bus station 'Stavanger Byterminal', and at the express boat terminal 'Hurtigbåt Terminalen'.


Bergen Airport, Flesland has good connections to several cities in Europe.

From the 'Stavanger Byterminalen' and 'Bergen Busstasjon', buses have departure to Haugesund almost every hour. The trip by bus takes around 2 hours from Stavanger and 3 hours and 15 minutes from Bergen to Haugesund. Link to routetables and tickets:


Hurtig båt (katamaran) has 3 roundtrips to and from Haugesund and Stavanger monday to friday only. The one-way trip takes approx. 75 minutes. In case you arrive late on monday afternoon, you can get on a katamaran hurtigbåt leaving 16:45 (PM) and arrive in Haugesund around 18:05. See link to timetables


It may be the most effective way to travel via Stavanger Airport, unless you have reasons for traveling via Oslo. The Flybussen takes you to the Stavanger Byterminalen in 25 minutes. The Kystbussen has departure from Byterminalen almost every hour.
