10:30 Generative AI to accelerate Root Cause Analyses (RCA)
- Vetle Nevland, Graduate data scientist, Aker BP
To find find relevant information that can help locating the root cause of an equipment failure takes a lot of time for the discipline engineers, time that should ideally be allocated for the analysis part of a Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
We envision an AI solution built around LangChain, an open-source Generative AI framework with versatile functionality. To this end, a multi-agent framework seems to be a promising solution to handle the abundance of information hidden throughout multiple data systems.

10:30 Source of Truth
- Thibaud Freyd, Senior Data Scientist Consultant, CEGAL
The project aims to establish a reliable Source of Truth (SoT) for well data management in the oil and gas industry in Norway. The SoT will automatically compare and rectify discrepancies in well metadata and data from the customer, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), and the Operator. The process begins with data ingestion facilitated by Microsoft Fabric, which allows the ingestion of data from diverse sources and formats. The extraction of data from unstructured PDFs from Diskos is addressed using Al and NLP techniques. The identified discrepancies and the corrected metadata are then presented to the customer in a Power BI dashboard. The project initially focuses on well coordinates before delving into more detailed well data.
