Informal August meetup in Stavanger

We're getting together for an informal ECIM OSDU Special Interest Group meetup at Lervig Local (Stavanger) on August 13 at 7pm.

The idea is simple: meet fellow SIG members, catch up, exchange ideas, discuss current topics, and enjoy some good conversation in a relaxed setting.

There is no formal agenda, presentations, or registration requirement. Just come along if you're interested in networking and connecting with others in the community.

Date: August 13th

Time: 7pm

Venue: Lervig Local, Alexander Kiellands gate 2A, Stavanger

Please note that this is a social gathering and each participant will be responsible for purchasing their own food and drinks.

Feel free to invite colleagues or peers who may be interested in joining the discussion.

Hope to see you there!

The ECIM OSDU Special Interest Group Norway

The first SIG meeting was held February 19th, watch this space for more events!

Great turnout for the first ECIM OSDU SIG Norway meeting in Stavanger!

On Thursday, February 19th, we hosted our very first ECIM OSDU SIG Norway gathering in Stavanger — and the response was fantastic. Nearly 60 participants joined to learn, network, and help shape the direction of the SIG going forward.

Lars Gåseby kicked off the session with a short introduction to the OSDU ecosystem before handing the stage to our operator presenters:

  • Jan Mortensen shared Equinor’s OSDU journey, which has already earned an internal AI award.
  • Max de Groot walked us through Aker BP’s work, highlighting key challenges and learnings from their implementation efforts.

We wrapped up with a fruitful interactive session led by Augustine O'Hagan and Espen Knudsen, where participants discussed the focus areas for future SIG activities (see photo). The group agreed that our next session will dive into “Open Ecosystem & Vendor Innovation.”
A big thank you to all presenters and everyone who spent their morning contributing to the OSDU community. Excited to see where we take this next!
