ECIM 2026
The 29th ECIM Conference took place in Haugesund, Norway, from 14-16 September 2026 introducing the motto "Connecting Data, Information and People." ECIM is recognized as a leading international conference for data professionals in the energy industry and serves as a non-profit, community-driven forum for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional development.
The conference brought together professionals from across the energy sector, including data and information managers, AI and analytics leaders, subsurface specialists, data engineers, architects, software engineers, consultants, and project managers. The conference combined technical content with networking activities and industry engagement.
Some highlights include:
• Bootcamp sessions, "Vibe Coding on OSDU" and "Storytelling for Data Management Professionals."
• Opening keynote by James Elgenes (Senior Manager Subsurface, Equinor).
• Plenary sessions covering cross industry learnings, collaboration, AI and data quality
• 8 Parallel workstream sessions covering OSDU, AI Data Governance etc.
